$\frac{2x^2 – 3xy – 2y^2}{4x^2 – y^2}$

Factorize numerator

2x2 - 3xy – 2y2

(2x2 + xy)(4xy – 2y2)

X(2x + y) -2y(2x + y)

= (x – 2y)(2x + y)

Factorize denominator

4x2 - y2 = (2x - y)(2x + y)

Combine numerator and denominator to get

$\frac{(x – 2y)(2x + y)}{(2x + y)(2x - y)}$ = $\frac{(x – 2y)}{(2x - y)}$
